Who we are

INCLUSION MATTERS

INCLUSION MATTERS

My name is Andrew Hedden. I play on my high school tennis team, and I teach tennis at a state of the art center with high-performance pro surface courts, multi-level viewing areas, and designer locker rooms. And on my way to school, I drive past parks like most parks in America, where kids knit their fingers through the 15-foot high chain

And on my way to school, I drive past parks like most parks in America, where kids knit their fingers through the 15-foot high chain link fences of outdoor tennis courts that are twice the size of the playground and that they can’t use.

Why aren’t kids on the other side of that tennis fence? The average cost of a beginner tennis racket is $50 and a tennis lesson averages $60 per hour in NJ. Even a can of tennis balls costs as much as a school cafeteria lunch. The mission of ALL IN is to put a tennis racket in the hands of every kid who wants to play and give them the fun

Even a can of tennis balls costs as much as a school cafeteria lunch. The mission of ALL IN is to put a tennis racket in the hands of every kid who wants to play and give them the fundamentals of the game so they can use those park courts in all their neighborhoods. It’s not just a racket: it’s a key to one less place in this world kids from low-income households are locked out of.

Our Mission

INCLUSION MATTERS

Our Mission

Every town has huge spaces dedicated to public tennis courts that kids can’t use because of cost-prohibitive equipment and training. In most cases, the space dwarfs the playground. We are trying to reclaim that public space for kids who need it most.
